I wrote my first book in elementary school- a glue-bound, glossy-covered book with pages of colorful stick figures and speech bubbles. Years later, after a failed attempt at a degree in Computer Science, I embraced the writer in me and changed my degree to Print Journalism with a concentration in Creative Writing. The rest, as it is commonly said, is history.
I have spent a large portion of my life as a Freelance Writer, Staff Editor, and English Lecturer while indulging in 5 a.m. fiction writing. I have served as Channel One News' Copy Editor, written for Amsterdam News, and have fiction published in The Albemic literary journal, A(rt) Magazine, and Torch Literary Arts. I have been nominated for The Caine Prize in African Writing and earned a Zora Neal Hurston and Torch Literary Arts writing fellowship.
Currently, my life is centered on assisting writers with their projects, wearing the hat of an English Professor, and continuing my 5 a.m. writing process.
